However, Ajith Kumar‘s Daredevil is reportedly targeting a Diwali 2027 release, setting up a possible Ajith vs Prabhas box-office clash. It is not officially confirmed yet.
Daredevil Could Impact Spirit in Key Markets
The competition may not have a major impact in the Telugu states and North India. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala could be the key markets to watch.
Daredevil could affect screen allocation for Spirit, particularly in Tamil Nadu and overseas Tamil markets where Ajith has a strong following.
As a pan-India film, Spirit needs to perform well across all languages and territories. Competition for screens in these markets could become an important factor during its theatrical run. It is not the only rival either, as Salman Khan's Eid 2027 release is also set to clash with Spirit.
Daredevil Cast and Shooting Update
Sreeleela, Prabhu, R. Parthiban and Sunil, who is known for his role in Pushpa, are part of the cast of Daredevil. The film is scheduled to begin shooting on November 12.
With Spirit and Daredevil reportedly targeting the same festive window, Diwali 2027 could witness a major box-office clash between Prabhas and Ajith Kumar.
